The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

I just finished reading Stieg Larsson’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series.

Those. Books. Are. Amazing.

I haven’t been so wrapped up in a series since Harry Potter.  The plot twists constantly kept me guessing and were so wildly unpredictable that I just couldn’t put the books down.  The fact that the books are set in Scandinavia (Sweden to be exact) are just the icing on the cake.

The books were made into movies in Sweden a few years ago, and Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig will star in the American version of the first film out this December.  I’m looking forward to watching the Swedish films on Netflix – partly because I can’t wait to watch the suspense play out on screen and partly because I want to see how much of the Swedish I can pick up on (supposedly it’s not so different from Danish but thank goodness for subtitles).
