Homemade Mojitos


Summer is just one week away, and these delicious cocktails are a refreshing treat that's perfect for the season!

Homemade Mojitos
mint-infused simple syrup (see below for recipe)
fresh mint leaves
light rum
lime
club soda

To make one mojito, muddle one shot of mint-infused simple syrup with fresh mint leaves in a glass. Add ice cubes and a shot of rum. Top with club soda and garnish with a lime wedge.

Mint-Infused Simple Syrup
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
fresh mint leaves

Add water and sugar to a saucepan and heat until boiling. Stir until sugar dissolves, then remove the saucepan from the heat. Add a handful of fresh mint leaves to the saucepan and let the mixture steep for one hour. Strain out the leaves and store the syrup in a jar in the refrigerator until you're ready to use it.
