StrEAT Food Festival

I remember racing down the street as a kid chasing the ice cream truck and the tune of "Pop Goes the Weasel". I'm not sure whose idea it was to move beyond ice cream and begin to sell everything from cupcakes to Korean barbecue off of the side of trucks, but they're a genius! This past Saturday I wandered down to Main Street Manayunk to check out the StrEAT Food Festival and taste the fare from some of Philly's most popular food trucks. They certainly didn't disappoint!

Vermont

I just returned home after a week of peaceful bliss at the lake. There's nothing better than 7 days of sunshine, swimming, and family barbecues among the Green Mountains. It's also the perfect place to celebrate one of my favorite holidays, the 4th of July.

Photo Diary | Tristan Prettyman Concert

Last week my friend and I ventured to World Cafe Live in Philadelphia to sit back,
sip wine, and watch my favorite singer/songwriter, Tristan Prettyman, perform live.

Tristan's latest album, Cedar + Gold, is incredible,
full of honest and relatable lyrics about her latest heartbreak.

Talented singer/songwriter/funny-girl Anya Marina opened the show

The highlight of the night: getting to meet Tristan after the show!

Cedar + Gold is available on iTunes.

Apple Festival

Kirsten munching on an apple fritter

Last weekend I braved the cold to check out the Apple Festival at Peddler's Village in Lahaska, PA.  The sidewalks were crowded with people taking advantage of seasonal sales at the village's many shops and enjoying tasty apple treats and hot apple cider.  There are few things that I love more than the changing seasons, and the Apple Festival celebrates everything that I love about autumn.

Night Market

My girlfriends and I meet once a week at a local bar for happy hour.  Two weeks ago we decided to switch up our usual routine and check out Night Market, a street food festival in Philadelphia's Mt. Airy.  The crowd and live music were eclectic, and the food was out of this world!
