Homemade Cake Pops

Cake pops are just too cute, and I've been dying to make them!
I finally had the chance last weekend when I was home for Easter.
My mom, siblings, and I spent Saturday afternoon in the kitchen,
baking and decorating these delicious treats.

Here are some tips to consider when making cake pops at home:

1) Buy a cake pop pan.  Cake batter is liquid, after all, and from what I've read online it's nearly impossible to create perfectly spherical cake pops without a pan.

2) To make a denser cake, use a cake mix but add an extra egg,
substitute milk for water, and add a pudding mix of the same flavor as the cake.

 3) Dip sticks into chocolate, insert into cake ball,
and freeze for 10 minutes before decorating.
This will create a secure bond between cake and stick
and will make decorating much easier.

4) Add a small amount of vegetable oil to the
melted chocolate for a smoother texture.
