Neon yellow - the most fun and, yet, least flattering shade - is everywhere, and, while Christopher Kane's Spring/Summer 2011 collection (above) terrified me, I'm ready to embrace the trend thanks to the novel idea of pairing neons with neutrals. Christian Siriano and Gucci's Frida Giannini show that neon yellow is totally wearable when balanced with neutrals. And, of course, keep the neon yellow below the belt and away from your face in order to avoid looking uber-nauseated.
I am obsessed with the camel Gucci dress with the little
hint of neon yellow underlay peeking out!
The most fun and flattering neon outfits that I've seen combine the
unexpected hue with classic shapes. And don't wait until spring
to get in on the trend! Neon yellow looks fabulous with a
winter wardrobe of black, camel, or ivory.
