I bought a cheap pair of glittery heels to wear to a New Year’s Eve

party when I was in high school.  I don’t think I’ve worn them since

then.  They have a faux stacked heel, which doesn’t seem to

coordinate with the glitter.  But, well, they’re sparkly,

so I just couldn’t bring myself to get rid of them. 

I’ve finally decided to update them by painting the heel.  First, I sanded

the heel to rough up its outer coating so that the paint would stick.

Then I grabbed a paintbrush and acrylic black and metallic gold paint and went to work.

Now my ten dollar heels look like a million bucks!
